Biography

Michail Papamichail is an Electrical and Computer Engineer graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. During his studies, he was selected by the University of California, Irvine for a paid internship position after a worldwide call, while he has also worked as an Oracle RPAS solution consultant (Veltio LLC) where his main duties involved designing and implementing large systems for demand forecasting. He is currently a PhD candidate and also works as a research associate at the Intelligent Systems and Software Engineering Labgroup (ISSEL) under the supervision of Dr. Andreas Symeonidis, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. His PhD topic lies in the area of software quality and in specific it refers to the application of artificial intelligence and data mining techniques for assessing the maintainability degree of software. As a research associate, he has worked in multiple EU-funded (Mobile-Age) and national research projects (EERIS, Tektrain) as well as in private sector research projects (CIA). In addition, he works as a teaching assistant for “Pattern Recognition” course. Finally, he currently holds the position of chief technology officer (CTO) in the newly founded company Cyclopt, which aims at providing innovative solutions in the area of software quality as-a-service.
